Money problems have lead to the downfall of many couples. The wife may not like all of the toys and electronics that her husband buys, or the husband may not like all the shopping that his wife does. Maybe she’s a shopaholic and buys more than the family can possibly ever use, or he could hold a tight rein on the purse strings and not provide the things his family needs. Although there are certainly other reasons, lack of money seems to cause the most problems. Thanks to these tough economic conditions, many families have had to cut back spending which lead to many disagreements.
It’s best for couples in this situation to set up a budget so they can learn how to use their money properly. You should start by finding a convenient place to put all of the paid bills and receipts. These bills could conveniently fit into a photo storage box. Keeping everything organized will help out a lot. It will especially be useful when it comes time to file taxes. You may want to consider having three boxes of bills since the IRS recommends that you keep all paperwork for at least three years.
If you have a computer, it will come in handy. Start with a blank spreadsheet and type these headings across the top: groceries, housing, credit cards/loans, car expenses, savings, entertainment, chartible contributions, and a miscellaneous columm. Down the left side of the sheet you can type the months of the year. This spreadsheet will allow you to track your expenses throughout the year easily. After you have added up all of the expenses, you could put the resulting total under the appropriate section. You simply have to total the columns at the beginning of the year. If you have everything calculated already, it will be much easier for you to file taxes.
You can also make a practice of totaling each month separately. This will give you a better idea of your monthly expenses. If you find that the expenses of certain months seem inflated, you can examine them in more detail to determine why. Doc No.wslsdhgt-sdgewa
