An Easy Way to Set Up a Family Budget Sheet

Money problems have lead to the downfall of many couples. The wife may not like all of the toys and electronics that her husband buys, or the husband may not like all the shopping that his wife does. One of you may buy much more than the family budget allows for. There are a lot of reasons why couples fight over money, and the biggest of these is that there never seems to be enough. Not having enough money can be really stressful which is why is strains a marriage.

Families having money problems should first set up a budget sheet so that they can see exactly how all of the money is being used. You should put all of the paid bills in one convenient location. A photo storage box is excellent for this purpose. It will be much easier for you to file taxes at the end of the year if you keep everything organized. You should do as the IRS recommends and keep all paperwork for at least three years. You could use three separate boxes for this.

In these modern days, you should definitely turn to your computer for help. You could start your spreadsheeet program and setup columns with headings such as housing, credit cards, car expenses, entertainment, etc. The left side of the spreadsheet should consist of the months of the year. Using this spreadsheet is one of the easiest ways to track your expenses. Calculating all of the expenses at the end of the month would be much easier. When the beginning of the year rolls around, you’ll simply have to total the different columns. It will be much easier to file taxes if you have everything calculated already.
