Sheet Music Abbreviations

Sheet Music abbreviations?

I am working on a musical piece for the piano called the Trumpet Voluntary (aka Prince of Denmark’s March) (popular wedding song). However, there are a couple abbreviations I do not understand:
a) at the beginning of a line of music (far left side) between the two staves (or staffs) there is the two letters “Sw.” followed by a bracket ({) that vertically spans pretty much all of the space between the staves.
b) similarly, there is a “Gt.” between the staves but there is no bracket.

I’m thinking that the Sw. could mean Switch or Swell, but I’m not sure what the Gt. means at all. Perhaps they’re italian abbreviations rather than english.

It’s to do with the manuals on the organ.
Sw. is the Swell, and Gt. is the Great
On the organ, the main manual is the Great.
If there are two manuals, the second is the Swell (called that because the pipes are contained in a shuttered box, so you can gradually crescendo by using a pedal which opens and closes the shutters)
