Learning The Skills To Play Piano Chords

The piano chords are a selection of the most interesting things to learn on the piano. For the main part of your study, a professional teacher will stress the importance of playing the piano by ear, sheet music and music theory. For the modern piano players who rather play rock, pop or other less traditional tunes, they will be of benefit to the most, from starting with the basic skills of piano playing.

If you watch a concert where a piano is part of the group? You may have wondered how to play piano just like they do. Where did they learn? How did they master the keys?

Songs played on the piano like the Beatles, Animals, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Red Hot Chile Peppers are less difficult to grasp and retain when the piano professional understands standard piano chords. Even some of the most skilled guitar players learnt how to play by ear by playing chords. They are easier to remember and your hands have a method of remembering. It is like your hands will start to have a mind of their own, they will not forget.

You might compare practicing and tickling the ivories to speed typing. All an individual needs to do is place their hands on a keyboard and their hands are typing over 200 words a minute. There are not many that can actually type that fast, however speed isn't the issue, it is remembering the keys without thinking. You let your hands lead you.

So what are Piano Chords?

You see that the Major chords are linked to the letters of the alphabet. Let us focus on the F, G, Bb, C. Remembering how to play the major chords is as easy as learning to skip over the notes that should not be played. If you are playing the C chord, you may skip playing D and F. For the chord of G, you will concentrate on playing the notes of G, B, and D. You won't play A and C.

Now as you perhaps already see the black and white keys on the piano and wish to know more about them. With the white keys there are a set of major chords that may be played: C, G, and F. Yet for the sound or song to sound right you will need to add in some black keys. One example you can play a D chord by using D, F, A.

By touching the keys in the right order, you can easily learn to play the more easier songs. Once you master the fundamentals, it just a matter of time till you begin to grasp the more advanced music. As they say practice makes perfect.

Practicing is by far the best way to learn piano.. One of the best ways to start learning the piano is memorizing the piano chords.
