The Heavenly Clarinet Instrument

Mankind has been enthralled by the sound of the clarinet instrument for centuries and it remains to this day a main component of an orchestra.

When air is blown via the opening between the reed and the mouthpiece facing, the reed vibrates and produces the distinctive clarinet instrument sound.

Most clarinetists buy manufactured reeds and make the essential adjustments to suit themselves. Some make their own to suit their specific clarinet instrument.
